Kinnect (“we”, “our”, “us”), operated by MMG in Linden, Guyana, is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, and phone number when you register. We also collect usage data (pages visited, orders placed), device information (device type, operating system), and location data when you enable location services. Location data is only collected when you grant explicit permission.
We use your data to: process orders and ride bookings; display relevant restaurants, drivers, and listings near you; send order confirmations and service updates; improve the App and personalise your experience; comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Location access is optional for most features but required for ride booking. When enabled, your location is used to match you with nearby drivers and calculate fares. Location data is stored locally on your device and is only transmitted to our servers when needed to fulfill a booking request.
We share limited data with: restaurants and drivers to fulfill your orders and rides; payment processors to complete transactions; Supabase (our database provider) for secure data storage; and law enforcement when legally required. All third-party partners are bound by data protection agreements.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Order and ride history is retained for 3 years for legal and support purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Kinnect account.
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and associated data; withdraw consent for location access at any time via your device settings; opt out of marketing communications. Kinnect uses browser local storage to save your session, preferences, and location information on your device. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted unless required to use a service. You may clear this data at any time via your browser settings.
Kinnect is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
